This is the easiest peach dessert I make. No mixing bowls, no complicated steps. Just layer, bake, and it turns into a golden, buttery peach cobbler-style cake. If you’re looking for 3 ingredient peach dump cake or easy peach dessert with cake mix, this is exactly that.
The top bakes up slightly crisp and buttery. Underneath, the peaches get soft and syrupy. Serve it warm. It’s even better with vanilla ice cream.
Ingredients
- 4–5 cups sliced peaches (canned with syrup or fresh)
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
Preparation / How to Make It
I started by spreading the peaches evenly in a greased baking dish. If using canned peaches, I poured them in with the syrup. That helps create the sauce.
Sprinkled the dry cake mix evenly over the peaches. Did not stir. Just spread it out so it covers the fruit.
Drizzled the melted butter evenly over the top. Tried to cover as much of the dry mix as possible.
Baked until the top turned golden brown and the edges were bubbling. The butter and cake mix form a crumbly, crisp layer.
Let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Scoop it out warm so you get the soft peaches and buttery topping together.
