This Heaven on Earth Cake is a dreamy no-bake dessert made with fluffy angel food cake, sweet cherry pie filling, creamy vanilla pudding, and whipped topping. It's light, creamy, fruity, and incredibly easy to put together. Chill it well before serving for the best texture and flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 prepared angel food cake, cut into cubes
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
- 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1½ cups cold milk
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 oz whipped topping, thawed
- Fresh strawberries or cherries, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Arrange half of the cubed angel food cake evenly in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Spread half of the cherry pie filling over the cake cubes.
In a large bowl, whisk the instant vanilla pudding mix with the cold milk until thickened.
In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Gently fold the cream cheese mixture into the prepared pudding until well combined.
Spread half of the pudding mixture over the cherry layer.
Repeat the layers with the remaining angel food cake, cherry pie filling, and pudding mixture.
Spread the whipped topping evenly over the top. Garnish with fresh strawberries or cherries if desired.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the cake to soften and the layers to set.
Serve chilled and enjoy this creamy, fruity dessert straight from the refrigerator.
