Ingredients

  • 40 oz canned crushed pineapple in heavy syrup
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter, melted
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Lightly grease a baking dish.

Pour the crushed pineapple with its syrup evenly into the baking dish.

Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the pineapple layer. Do not stir.

Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix. Top with chopped pecans if desired.
