Strawberry pound cheesecake

Another mariage of two loved recipes, the pound cake that gives a rich taste and the fresh and fruity strawberry cheesecake.

There is many preparations for this recipe, so we divide the ingredients depending on the cake's layers.

Cake ingredients:

Two cups and half of all purpose flour.

One and half teaspoons of baking powder.

A pinch of salt.

One cup of softened unsalted butter.

8 OZ of softened cream cheese.

Half cup of granulated sugar.

One teaspoon of vanilla extract.

One large egg.

One tablespoon of all purpose flour.

Strawberry topping ingredients:

One cup and another half cup of cutted fresh strawberries.

Quarter cup of strawberry jam.

One tablespoon of lemon juice.

Glaze ingredients:

One cup of powdered sugar.

Three tablespoons of milk.

Vanilla extract for the flavor.

Now let's show you the instructions and the steps:

First thing is to prepare the cheesecake filling, by beating the cream cheese with the sugar and vanilla extract until having a very smooth and combined mixture.

Add the egg and beat again, and don't forget to add the last ingredient that is flour and mix well.

Let the mixture aside and jump into the next step.

Before you begin making the cake batter, go ahead and preheat your oven to 165°C (325°F). Don’t forget to grease your baking pan with a bit of oil and dust it lightly with flour.

Best method to prepare a cake's batter is to mix the dry ingredients in a bowl and the wet ingredients in another bowl, it's important to make things easier.

Baking step:

Baking takes 50 to one hour or some more 5 minutes on 165C (325F) ,exactly when an inserted toothpick comes out clean. 

When it is done give it a quarter hour to cool down before put it on a wire rack when it is going to cool down completely. 

Preparation of strawberry topping :

This topping should cooked in a saucepan on medium heat, combine the diced strawberries with the jam and lemon juice, then stir it for 7 minutes until it becomes thick. 

Let it aside. 

Making the Glaze:

Mix well the powdered sugar with milk and vanilla extract using a whisk, keep mixing until everything becomes combined and smooth . 

Drizzle the glaze over the pre-cooled cake.

Serving:

When the glaze becomes dry completely on the top of the cake, add the strawberry topping that you prepare before, evenly over your pound cake.

Best advices to get satisfying ends:

Marble look is much better than the ordinary version.

It is possible to prepare this recipe ahead of time, but make sure to keep it inside an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge for more durability.
