This Southern-style banana cobbler is rich, gooey, and full of warm caramelized banana flavor. Topped with a golden crust and perfect with a scoop of ice cream.
Ingredients
- 4 ripe bananas (sliced)
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Pour melted butter into a baking dish. Add sliced bananas evenly on top.
In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, granulated sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
Pour the batter over the bananas (do not stir).
Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon on top.
Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
Let it cool slightly before serving. Best enjoyed warm with vanilla ice cream!
