Ingredients
For the Cake
- 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, undrained
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Spread the undrained crushed pineapple evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the pineapple layer.
Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the top without stirring.
Slowly drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, covering as much of the surface as possible.
Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling around the edges.
Allow the cake to cool for at least 15 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
