Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup strawberry puree or strawberry milk
- Pink or red food coloring (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and grease a bundt pan.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the batter, alternating with milk.
Stir in vanilla extract.
Divide the batter into two parts. Mix strawberry puree and food coloring into one portion.
Pour both batters alternately into the pan and gently swirl with a knife to create a marbled effect.
Bake for 60–70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool before removing from the pan. Slice and enjoy your soft, buttery strawberry swirl pound cake.
